Our first show is on the books!
The International Contemporary Furniture Fair 2024 was, as promised, a big deal for us. We were surrounded by some incredible makers and designers from around the world.
As first timers, we went in the with hopes that we could show this prestigious event that we have what it takes, so we didn't hold back on our love of saturated color and proudly showing our shiny, modern lamps.
As with all things in NYC, executing a plan always comes with complications and obstacles (driving a van through the city, for one), so this trade show came with a steep learning curve. We definitely know we will do things a little differently next year to ease the pain.
We drenched the booth in our signature Daughter Blue so the logo would pop in white and we set up a corner filled with our most colorful designs, the sconces and clocks. We also included the front cover of our Monarch Lathe to make a display table to amplify the Art Deco feel and to emphasize the fact that we are a machine shop, which seem to set us apart.
Over 13,000 people attended the show. We met countless press, trade members, and industrial design students that gave us amazing feedback and contacts. We are exhausted but back in the shop with new enthusiasm.
We will definitely be back in 2025!
